My practices stem from my experience(s)...

-as anti-racist organizer as a part of  Youth Undoing Institutional Racism Pittsburgh.

-as a receiver of formal education in American economics.

-being a k-12 STEAM teacher and facilitator of learning who centers self-empowerment & liberated learning above all else.

-of being a practicing social injustice disruptor.

-recovering from being a non-profit manager.

-as an anti-racist yogini in training with YogaRoots on Location.

-advocating for play, creative exploration, joy, and shameless community care.

-as a social justice consultant & strategist.

-as a Black woman in America.

The Joyful Squatter is one human in a grassroots collective of skilled  community organizers, entrepreneurs, artists, learners, strategic planners, teachers, yogis, and advocates for humanity committed to being in authentic relationship (with each other and everyone else) while working together to disrupt oppression and work towards a world with more smiles, liberated learning and communities full of play and joy.
